October 25 Virtual Ensemble

Thank you for your willingness to share your time and talent with Imagine Church or our worship video to be released October 25.  We'll be singing 10,000 Reasons by Matt Redman.

Master Track

Instructions

1.  You will need to use headphones to listen to this master track video.  We strongly suggest using a second device for filming, with the highest resolution possible.  We also recommend a high quality microphone if available.

2.  Listen and watch the master track a couple times through. Get familiar with it first (this will save you some takes!) Notice the rhythms, the breaths, and the words.  Everyone does this song a little different, so you'll want to try to match up as much as you can. That said, do feel free to harmonize and improvise if you feel comfortable and confident in doing so.  If not, it's always fine to sing the melody, as demonstrated on screen by Zack.

3. Find a quiet place to record your video - preferably in front of a blank, neutral color wall.

4. Open your phone or another video recording device or app and begin recording a video.  Record horizontally, and keep your face in the middle of the screen as best as possible.  A tripod or human can be helpful.

5.  Hit play on the master track video above that you will be listening to with headphones.

6.  Proceed, singing along with the track.  Remember to smile.  Get into it!

7.  When you are finished recording, navigate to WeTransfer.com on your computer or phone and click “add your files”.  Choose “send to email address” and enter “edavis@episcopalatlanta.org”
Submit to WeTransfer

Tips for Successfully Recording Vido

  1. Find a quiet place with little background noise.  If you have an external recording mic, all the better, but not required.
  2. Record horizontal, not vertical video.
  3. Try to keep your face in the middle of the screen.
  4. A tripod or family member may be helpful for camera placement and stability, though not necessary.
  5. Pro Tip: Leave one earbud in your ear and the other out, so you can hear yourself sing!
  6. If it would help you to print out the score, you can do so here.
